"I am a true believer that passion is what moves people to do more, better and greater things. Cliché as it may sound, when people are honestly passionate about something, there is virtually no limit to what they can achieve. Passion is what started the M Gruppe and what moves it forward. It is also what pushes me and the team to want this community to be an ever closer and tighter group of ///M enthusiasts who want to share their common passion with like-minded individuals - even when that means simply parking together and hanging out for coffee on a Saturday morning. We have a unique membership and, out of this group, come the men and women who want to go the extra mile and be part of the M Gruppe team, helping ‘steer the car’ in its journey into the future."
Adriana’s love for cars started when she was about 3 years old, and would ‘help’ her father wash and wax his cars. It just grew from there. The passion for ///M cars developed from a long history with BMWs that started in Germany in the mid 90s. Adriana’s experience in the car enthusiast world in the US started with the Houston Chater BMW CCA in the mid 2000s where she served for several years as Social Events Chairperson and later as VP. In the early 2010s Adriana co-managed the former Houston ///M Club, culminating in the creation of the then Texas M Gruppe (Dec/2015). The current ///M stable includes E30 M3, E31 850 CSi, E64 M6, F12 M6, F82 GTS, F90 M5. Adriana believes that ///M owners should first and foremost know how to properly handle these cars – also to be able to enjoy them to the fullest – and supports formal training, a belief she brings to the M Gruppe. Adriana has participated in many high performance training courses such as M Performance schools in SC, M Performance Driving at the Circuit of the Americas and the mother of all tracks, the Nordschleife Performance training at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife with BMW ///M Germany, which she offers yearly for M Gruppe members. Adriana backgrounds is in the oil & gas industry. She holds a Business degree from Norway, a Safety Engineering degree from University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from Tulane University.

Just over five years later, the M3 is approaching 100,000 miles, twenty-two track-days, nine driving events, and hours and hours of fun.
Arslan has always been fascinated by cars from the time he could speak growing up in London.. Fast forward to 1990, he moved to NJ and was the owner of an engine remanufacturing business while also attending college. The car itch was inherited from his father who bought a new performance car every Aug 1st. There have always been BMWs in the household since 1984 and that continues with his passion starting with an E21, E30, E36, E53, E36/8 (a 2001 S54 M Coupe), E91, F31 and now F80 Comp. Pack. The M Coupe sleeps in the garage most days with the F80 serving as a daily. Lime Rock Park is Arslan’ s home track with the highlight being a graduate of the Skip Barber Racing School (Sebring). Arslan has been published in the Roundel and Bimmer magazines for various BMW events hosted at BMW Manufacturing and BMW NA. Representing the NYC area, he is active in the engagement of unique drives and photo opportunities.
Avi grew up in Philadelphia within a family of mechanics. While not mechanically inclined himself, Avi has had an affinity for the auto world for as long as he can remember. In 1999 Avi sat in his first BMW, a Midnight Blue 323 and it was love at first sight, but not for the reasons you might expect; Avi fell in love with BMW because he didn't need to have the seat all the way back for his 6'3" body. In 2008 Avi bought his first BMW, an Arctic Silver E46 330xi named "Boo". Following that he acquired a 2013 Estoril Blue II 335xi, now named "Booberry". His current 'baby' is a 2016 Sakhir Orange F80 Competition Package aka "Tomato". During the day Avi works as IT Project Manager in the healthcare industry, and a devoted husband and father. For 7 years Avi has been responsible for leading Bimmerfest's "Climb to the Clouds" charity drive events. Avi also enjoys photography, travel and scuba diving (whose suit he wears to wash his own car on the more cold PA days). After driving his F80 on the Nürburgring, Avi plans to expand his track experience to the US tracks.
Steve was born in Fort Worth (TX) the son of an Air Force test pilot and a addicted to cars since he was very young. Steve was fortunate to attend high school in Germany when the 1965 Ford GT40’s and the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe's raced for the first time at the 1000 km Rennen at the Nürburgring. He watched the race from the 7th km turn as John Surtees won by a large margin in the #1 blood red Ferrari. If he was in love with cars before then, at that time he became totally hooked on racing and fast cars. Steve currently drives a 2013 E92 Dinan M3 6 speed and loves it. He has raced Porsche GT3, won three BMW CCA regional championships and two National runner-ups in his red and yellow E30 M3. More recently Steve raced his M3 E46 to a wins at MSR Cresson. He also club raced with BMW CCA, NASA and was a high speed instructor for BMW, Porsche and Drivers Edge. Steve and his wife live in Katy (TX) with their youngest son (Ben, 28), who is a basketball and softball player for the Katy Special Olympics. Their oldest son (Matthew, 30), lives in north Texas after being discharged from the US Army. Steve has been a lifelong Cowboys fan and a very proud member of the M Gruppe. Steve adds: “BMW’s have been in our household for many years and always will be!”
Christi Redfearn is a third-generation janitor - she helps run her family’s 36-year-old commercial cleaning business heading up marketing, business strategy, training, and sustainability across 12 markets. Her family is looking to her to run the company when her father decides to retire. Christi’s racing fever started with her dad. He drag raced motorcycles in his youth and carried it all through Christi’s childhood. She grew up spending her weekends at drag strips. In college, she joined a sports car club and realized there was more to racing than elapsed times and top speeds. Christi instructs at a few HPDE events each year and is now competing with her husband, David Record, in SCCA and NASA events with their 2003 BMW 330 Spec E46 race car (built by Classic BMW) and wants to help more women get into the sport. Christi has had a long history with M cars, starting with her 2006 E46 M3. She’s had an E90 M3, an E60 M5, but had to return to her roots with the F80 M3 she currently drives. Her kids are named after race car drivers and are getting a proper education in all things cars and racing.
Ali is finishing 5th grade from Vaughn Elementary school with masters grades at the state level. He also swims for the Swim America Team at the Silver level. Ali loved speed from the moment he was born. Prior to his first birthday he already had seen the M3 differential fluid being replaced. By the age of 3, he could differentiate between car models and list specific ones. Already at a very young age Ali had the attention span to learn the inner workings of an engine. He has a wide collection of model cars, a work in progress. As a gifted and talented student, speed always fascinated him in learning. He has discovered many ways to gain knowledge about cars and is never tired to learn more. Go Karting, remote control cars, racing games, Lego robotics, Car Art are some of his hobbies – but cars & coffee and car meets are his favorite pass time. Following is the list of BMW M cars that the Aziz family has owned; all of them adored by Ali from the research stage, test driving, purchase and enjoyment: E46 M3 Carbon Black SMG,E90 M3 Imola Red Manual, F82 M4 Sakhir Orange Manual, E39 M5 Sterling Grey Manual, F06 M6 San Marino Blue DCT.
Ali's neighbors and swim coaches reach out to him for car advice, especially as it relates to which car model to buy. From features to performance you name it, Ali is on top of it, knowing more than many adult enthusiasts in terms of car information. His Kindergarten dream was to build a “W18 engine to be “faster than Bugatti” though he laughs about it now. The love for BMW M started from the first M Car (M5) Ali could experience. The passion just grew more with time. Now he is always on the lookout for the new M car and what BMW has to offer. There is definitely more to come in the future as his journey is just starting!
At 35 years old Jordan Sarette still plays with cars much to his wife’s dismay, and is lucky to have made his passion into his daily work as a Service Manager. From a young age he found himself drawn to these cars. In middle school a parent regularly dropped off another student in what he later came to learn was most likely a 1989 325iS and he was enamored with the body style. Once he was of age to drive, an E30 was still very much outside of his means but he managed to make the next best thing happening picking up a low mileage 1983 E21 320i 5spd. And so the love affair would begin. He has owned more E30s over the years than he can even count; nice ones, amazing ones, beater ones. Several E36 M3’s, a quartet of E39’s, a single E38, and F10 not counting his current F10 M5, and the wife/kid transport F25 X3. Nothing is stock, always fooled around with. In his spare time outside of working with these cars Jordan immerses himself in the garage, painstakingly restoring E30s, as it is a hobby that brings him great enjoyment. It is argued that he truly enjoys the artful rejuvenation and the final work product more than driving itself. His last E30 restoration was featured by Jalopnik and BMW Individual. The one prior to that recently enjoyed a public showing at the Houston Auto Show where it received much deserved attention.
Jordan has always been more than willing to help those in need within our communities via sharing the knowledge and experience that has come into his possession over time. Inspiring others to explore what is possible with these cars is always rewarding for him. To that end he offers his support, experience and resources to provide technical assistance to our M Gruppe members.
Amanda is an Army Veteran with 7 years of service as an Intelligence Analyst. After leaving the military she entered the Construction & Engineering world as a Senior Project Coordinator, focusing on Contract Management, Budgeting and Specialized Research. Amanda's car experience is a little different than most: She loved and admired cars from a young age, but was absolutely terrified of the idea of driving. Amanda’s way of overcoming her fear has been to learn as much as possible about the ins and outs of every car that she gets behind the wheel of. It only took a push of a pedal to leave the fear behind, and the confidence has only grown from there. Amanda had the opportunity to track her first BMW M3 at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium, and the love of ///M just got stronger from there. Amanda currently owns a Sakhir Orange F80.

Igor has always been passionate about cars, from playing with toy cars at a young age to helping his father and grandfather take care of their cars. After moving to US in 1999, and while going to school, Igor worked for a local performance shop familiarizing his way through sound and security systems and car modification. Now a business owner, he still prefers to spend his time with his cars, doing everything between making sure they are absolutely spotless to modifying them. In 2011 Igor acquired his first BMW, an Alpine White 7 series, which was followed by another Alpine White 6 series Gran Coupe in 2014. Currently he owns a Donington Grey X5M and a Mineral White M4 F83 competition package. Dmitry has been in the Philadelphia region since 1990. He is currently employed as a Senior Services Deliver manager at a Major Software Company. Along with his computer habits Dmitry developed a strong passion for cars and tuning in his teens. His first step into the tuning world was with JDM vehicles, and after many successful projects on that platform his enthusiasm turned to the Euro space. He currently has 1 out of 577 produced 6 speed manual F10 M5's in the world, in a Monte Carlo Blue. He is already pushing that platform further than he ever did in his previous builds. Outside of being a car enthusiast, Dmitry is an avid skier having traveled to and skied many of the worlds top mountains. Dmitry and his wife also enjoy traveling the world, and are always looking for the next adventure.
Hailing out of the New York City borough of Queens, Anis has been around the block. That is to say his car ownership career started with a Kia, moved onto a couple of Subaru’s, dabbled in a bit of Audi, tasted the AMGs and now has found his home amongst the ///Ms. Quite an interesting history. When he’s not out looking for ///M badges on non ///M cars Anis is giving it his all at a charity very near and dear to his heart as their Director of Music and Special Projects called The Songs of Love Foundation. They create free personalized, one-of-a-kind songs for sick children and teens in hospitals nationwide free of charge. No, Anis is not singing on the songs (thank goodness). Years ago he saw a E36/8, lovingly called the Clownshoe and just had to have one. . . only if he can fit in it. As luck would have it he fits just right and loves the ///M Coupe. A couple track days and fun drives for no reason has solidified that love for the Clownshoe.
Chuck has had an interest in cars as long as he can remember. When a young boy, Chuck went with his family on a trip that took him through Watkins Glen, NY on what happened to be a race weekend. That fascinated Chuck who decided, there and then, that sports cars were just about “the coolest things in the world”. Returning to Watkins Glen years later as a racer himself, some of the drivers he watched race became friends of his, notably Peter Argetsinger, Sam Posey, Skip Barber and John Fitch. Chuck is a member of the Lime Rock Drivers Club, the Glen Club (Watkins Glen), Madison Avenue Sports Car Driving and Chowder Society. Through his membership in these clubs, Chuck got to meet a number of prominent members of the automotive community such as Eliot Forbes Robinson, Wayne Carini, Janet Guthrie, Edsel Ford 2nd, John Edwards (BMW Team RLL) , Sir Stirling Moss, Carroll Shelby, Bob Tulius, Vic Elford, Will Turner, Bobby Allison, Jeff Gordon, Will Turner, John Morton and many others. His currently ///M passion is a convertible M4 that sits alongside other cars in the collection. Over the years he has owned a number of interesting cars including a Bug Eye Sprite, a 1954 Jaguar XK120, a 1959 Jaguar Mark IX, an Alfa 2000 Spider Touring among others.

Aaron has been a Software Engineer for over 20 years ever since graduating from the University of Florida. His first BMW came shortly after college and moving to Tampa, FL. The M3 was his dream car back then, but he had to settle for an E36 325is. Work took him to NC in 2008 where he earned his Masters in Computer Science from NC State University. It wasn’t until 2018 that he was finally able to join the ///M Family with an F82 Dinan M4, but it was worth the wait! He has also gotten his wife (Patty) on the BMW path with her custom built 2014 X1. Aaron recently completed his first ///M Performance School day school in SC. He has also owned 4 BMW bikes in his short 3 years of learning to ride: 2015 650GS, 2009 1200GS, and currently both a 2016 S1000XR and a 2018 310GS. Aaron is looking forward to more track days on both the bike and car.
Jaco is South African and growing up he dreamed of being a car designer but with limited opportunities for that in South Africa he followed Gordon Murray’s choice to study Mechanical Engineering instead and also did a post grad degree in Vehicle Engineering. Currently Jaco works for Caterpillar and has held numerous international positions. Jaco’s passion for cars started at a young age as his father worked in the auto industry and growing up, he had the opportunity to attend many track race events with his dad. A local racing legend, Tony Viana, raced the 3 series, 5 series and even the 7 series in various South African championships. Many of those cars were unique to SA and had to be homologated. That caused Jaco to fall in love with BMW, not to mention the e30 M3’s success in DTM. Jaco’s BMW ownership history include the following: e12 518i, e36 328i Motorsport, e46 325ti, e90 330i, e90 335i, e83 X3, e86 Z4 M Coupe, F22 M235i (daily driver) and his pride and joy, an e82 1 M Coupe with Dinan Stage 3. Jaco enjoys all types of car events, even participated as a navigator in rallying in South Africa. With numerous track experiences and BMW driving school events completed, Jaco hopes to develop his driving skills more whilst here in the USA, behind the wheel of some very special ///Ms.
Born in Bayreuth, Germany, Jochen is a true Bavarian. His fascination with BMWs started when his dad bought an 1802 in 1972. During his college years, Jochen raced a variety of cars in Germany, mostly in hillclimbs, road rally, and autocross. He moved to the US after receiving his PhD and has lived in CA, IN, DE, and for the past 8 years in SC. After enjoying two M3s with DCT, he recently switched to a 2018 Sakhir Orange F80 6-speed manual. When he is not researching new automotive catalysts and alternative fuels, Jochen enjoys travelling around the world with his family (favorite country: Japan) and watching car racing at the track and on TV (no NASCAR please).
Nav is originally from Trinidad and was raised in South Florida. Being in South Florida from early childhood led to the passion for cars as it has always been a major scene for exotic, fast, and customized rides. As he grew up in Fort Lauderdale, and attended college at FIU in Miami, he also managed an auto performance shop which only furthered the desire to own and customize his cars. After owning and customizing a myriad of Japanese cars while immersed in the car culture, it led to him wanted his dream car at the time – an E46 M3. A couple years after college, Naviel fulfilled that dream and purchase his M3 which would later be known as his gateway drug of ///M Cars. Over the years, he customized and tuned the Carbon Black E46. The ///M Addiction didn’t stop there, as he then acquired an E92 Silverstone M3 Coupe, and a Sakhir Orange F82 M4. He still has both and they have been through their fair share of customization.
Naviel and his family love traveling around the world and have ///Mbraced the M life which also led to the pilgrimage to the Nürburgring in 2017. He has recently signed up for ///M Performance school in SC, and is always looking to add to the ///M Stable if the opportunity presents itself. He looks forward to growing the M Gruppe community in the South Florida market and meeting the fellow passionate enthusiasts out there.

Eric's love for cars started when he was very young. The thousands of toy cars his mom gave him still live in the attic as a testament to that. Most of Eric's teenage years were spent in trucks or other various off-road vehicles. He has owned something from every American manufacturer. His love for sports cars started in his 20s with the purchase of his first WRX. From there he went through 2 more, and eventually yo an STI as his daily and Auto X machine. It was at Auto X that he met enthusiast Rene Hernandez with his beautifulE46 M3. That is when the BMW passion started and he never looked back. After months of research Eric settled on his E92 M3, which led to his current F87 love a.k.a. M2-D2.
Brian has been a car guy since he was 8 years old. His passion for cars led him to work as an alarm and audio installer from the age of 16 and throughout his college years. During those years Brian built systems that won several national events. After receiving his double major in Finance and Economics from the University of Nebraska, Brian went to work for a high end home theater/car audio accessory manufacturer as a Product Manager / Developer in Michigan and then Minneapolis. After bearing the cold weather for 25 years, Brian decided he had had enough and moved to his home town of Houston where he got a job as Global Sourcing Manager for Academy's private brands for guns, ammo and shooting accessories, again managing to turn another passion into a career. Brian is fairly new to BMW, having acquired his first Bimmer in 2012: A 328, which he owned for 4 happy years. The dream however had always been to own an ///M, a dream he fulfilled in 2016 when he got his current Silverstone F82, which he absolutely loves and likes to personalize to make it unique to him. He has now been bitten by the ///M bug and there's no turning back. Brian has solid experience managing car clubs, which he did in Minnesota, where he actively co-managed the MNBMW, an independent BMW club with over 3K members.
Mike didn’t take the traditional route to the fa///Mily! Born in NYC and raised on the mean streets of the Upper East Side of Manhattan, he was more familiar with the #4 train (preferable to the #6 local), but was a regular during the 70’s at the New York Auto Show at the old New York Coliseum (long since torn down and replaced by the Time Warner Center). Back then, he knew he particularly liked those German cars, but it would be a “few” years before he got into one! Mike also tuned in every year to the Indianapolis 500 on ABC’s Wide World of Sports, listening to the likes of Chris Schenkel, Jim McKay, and yes, Keith Jackson, calling the Greatest Spectacle in Racing and becoming a big fan of Foyt, Mears, the Unsers, the Andretti’s and all of the other great drivers of the ‘70s! While all of you guys and gals were drag racing, carting, and tearing up engines, Mike didn’t own his first car, a $750 Olds’ Cutlass Supreme, until 1986 he went off to Syracuse for his MBA (he also got his BA there). Mike worked 26 years for Marathon Oil Company around the US and world, primarily in International HR Management, before retiring in 2015 and he now consults for Anadarko Petroleum on their Mozambique LNG project. It was while working for Marathon at their Robinson, Illinois refinery that he attended his first Indianapolis 500 in 1990, and he’s been making the pilgrimage to Speedway, Indiana on the regular ever since. Mike was a long-time owner of Nissan Z cars (multiple 300zx NA and TT, 350 and 370s) before he finally found the light with his first Bimmer, a 435i. A little over a year later, he came “home” to a new BSM F82 named MFORME, and last November, with a long heart, traded her in for his current MWM F82 ZCP, and never looked back! While he was late to the game, he soon learned it’s never too late to become Fa///Mily!

A native of California's Central Coast, Garrett has loved cars his entire life. Growing up just minutes from Laguna Seca Raceway and Monterey's prestigious Car Week, he remembers heading to the track with his dad and seeing some of the greatest road and race cars...a kid’s dream. Never one for sporting events or concerts, he prefers to block out the week in August every year to attend the Car Week events: The Quail, Concours d’Elegance, Legends of the Autobahn, and take in all the scenery. As his wife puts it, "I know to not ask Garrett to do anything until after the Concours. It’s the only time he gets a pass on not paying attention.” An engineer by day and car guy 24/7/365, Garrett has always appreciated a very wide variety of cars, taking pride in knowing about vehicles ranging from the latest ///M car to McLaren's, old Camaro's and more. While he has had many different new and classic cars over the years, 2018 was the year he bought his first (but definitely not last) ///M and he hasn't looked back. While his wife would argue that he didn’t buy the X5M as a family car, Garrett's love for his F85 is magnified by the joy his 3 year old daughter, Emmy, gets from going to school in "daddy's race car.” He looks forward to hosting many M Gruppe events in Northern California, and can’t wait to bring his M to Laguna Seca track days and Car Week!

Introduced to cars at a young age by his cousin who was a pioneer for the Fast and Furious culture, Tim grew up around fast cars but owned his first BMW in 98’ starting with an E36 318i which eventually was swapped, moved to an E46 325xi which he hails as one of the best snow cars BMW made, then to owning his dream car the E39 M5 of which he now owns 3 of them all in Alpine White. A Stock example, a Dinan S1 and a Touring which he fully converted into an M5 and even supercharged it. Wanting the new BMW tech, he also owns an M6 grancoupe which is the daily driver and is also Alpine White. His love of cars also transferred to his family and friends who come to all the car shows and events and even help try to bring all the cars out. Tim is connected in the M5 community, experienced in S motors, and active admin/moderator on multiple social media platforms for BMW M5 related content but daylights building the internet but moonlights building BMW, mostly M5s but also M cars of any generation. Tim is representing the Northwest and is very active in the NW BMW and Exotic car community ranging from small meets to hosting scenic coast drives to organizing large events.
